Coming to Pioneer Park Sunday August 11, the 2024 Newport Pioneer Day Festival promises food and fun—as well as a petting zoo. Among the events included in this year’s festivities are a car show and games, vendors and a beer tent provided as well. A parade will take place at 11:30 a.m., with the band Bad Companion playing from noon to 2:30 p.m. A petting zoo will be held from noon to 5 p.m., with Bingo from 1 to 4 p.m. Along with this will be a Rad Zoo Reptile Presentation from 3 to 4 p.m. Additionally, all you can eat corn on the cob will be available with a Pioneer Day button, these being sold for a $3 each or 4 for $10 at Newport City Hall, the Newport Library, and Newport Drug. Arriving this Sunday, 2024 Newport Pioneer Day is a celebration that welcomes all.
