Owls & Ales will be a ‘hoot’

Take time to connect to nature with a peaceful nighttime hike in the scenic St. Croix River Valley at Carpenter Nature Center’s Minnesota Campus on Jan. 4. Participants will head out on the trail at 5:45 p.m. for an “Owl Prowl” to watch and listen to some of Minnesota’s native owl species. This portion of the event is outdoors, and it is best to dress for Minnesota weather.

After the “Owl Prowl” adventure, participants can join the staff at Spiral Brewery for a guided tour of their flagship flavors and styles of beers currently available in their taproom. The tasting includes a beer flight for each participant and a Spiral Brewery staff member leading a discussion around each beer sample. Enjoy the atmosphere of the bright and fun taproom while learning about the history of Spiral Brewery and its products. This tour runs around 45 minutes, with the option to stay and enjoy another brew on your own tab.

The event runs from 5:45–8 p.m., starting at CNC’s Minnesota Campus just east of Cottage Grove and ending at Spiral Brewery in downtown Hastings. The cost is $25, which includes a hike and 1 beer flight, and guided tasting.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Please call 651-437-4359 to reserve your spot today. Must be 21+ to participate. For more information, go to carpenternaturecenter.org.
