Park boys swim past Roseville

Park swam to a commanding 110-70 triumph in boys swimming and diving over visiting Roseville Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Cottage Grove Middle School pool.

The Wolfpack had five individual event winners and won all three relay races Park’s Nathan LeMay had a big night, finishing first in both the individual 200-yard freestyle (1:58.30) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:12.59) and swimming anchor legs on two winning relays for the Wolfpack.

Park had the top three finishers in the 200 freestyle. Devin Schwartz was second in 5:19.75 and Tyson Kalinowski third in 5:24.32 The Wolfpack also swept the 50 freestyle. Glenna sprinted to first in the 50, winning in 23.15. Kalinowski was second in 24.27 and Ethan Anderson third in 24.77.

Park’s relay teams won all three relays, taking the 200-yard medley in 1:47.19 with the team of Schwartz, Kalinowski, Mitchell LeMay and Matt Glenna, the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:36.07 with the foursome of Glenna, Anderson, Mitchell LeMay and Nathan LeMay and the 400-yard freestyle in 3:31.94 with the quartet of Schwartz, Anderson, Kalinowski and Nathan LeMay.

Schwartz captured first in the 200-yard IM in 2:14.65.

Mitchell LeMay took first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.92.

The win evened the Wolfpack’s season record at 2-2.

Park has two meets this week, swimming against White Bear Lake on Tuesday, Feb. 9, and then hosting Irondale Thursday, Feb. 11.
