Park boys swimming vs. Woodbury

“We had some really good races,” said Johnson. “Our IMs, our sprint team is always really strong. Then some of our boys really picked it up, in the 100 butterfly, I wasn’t really expecting us to go second in it. Somehow Nate (Johnson) is just going that fast.

Johnson also had the best time in the 100-yard breaststroke, but unfortunately was disqualified in the event.

There were lots of individual highlights for the Wolfpack. Devin Schwartz of Park had himself a night, winning the 500 freestyle (22.84), the 100 backstroke (57.33) and swimming legs on Park’s winning 200yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays.

Park dominated the 100-yard freestyle with Matt Glenna first in50.97, Nathan LeMay second in 51.60 and Evan Darling third in 56.39. Park‘s sprints pretty much dominated, going 1-2-3 in the 100 freestyle and 1-2-4 in the 50 freestyle In the relays, Park’s 200-yard medley team of Nathan LeMay, Nathan Johnson, Schwartz and Mitchell LeMay won in 1:43.99, while the 400 freestyle quartet of Nathan LeMay, Schwartz, Kalinowski and Glenna won in 3:31.42.

Park’s Mitchell LeMay (2:11.70) and Tyson Kalinowski (2:11.77) had a photo finish in the 200-yard IM, finishing first and second.

Johnson had a strong effort in the 100yard butterfly, finishing second in 57.59.

Park swims against East Ridge in its next meet, Thursday, Jan. 28, at Oltman Middle School.
