Park High Theater to debut ‘The Prom’

Six show dates spread over last half of April

Prom is an important experience in many teenager’s lives, and with this in mind, Park High Theater will present a play on just that.
With six show dates at Park High School alternating between 7 p.m. (April 19, 20, 26, and 27) and 2 p.m. (April 21 and 28), the play/musical entitled “The Prom: School Edition” follows a gay teenage girl and her troubles to attend prom, running into obstacles from the PTA, as well as down on their luck Broadway stars ostensibly looking to help but whose main interest is their own image and prominence, rather than friendship.
Considered to be a heavy subject, the play/musical offsets this with humor, being based on the Broadway production by Bill Dori Berinstein, and Jack Lane.
Brought to life with an ensemble cast of Park High Theater students, tickets for ‘The Prom: School Edition’ are on sale now, with adult admission $10 and student seats $8. More including tickets can be found at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/76160
