Freshman Paul Wallace won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.71 and Park’s divers finished 1-3-4 to highlight Thursday’s boys swimming dual meet with Stillwater for the Wolfpack.

Sophomore Ethyn Schilling of the Wolfpack finished first in diving with a score of 221.10. Carter Darling was third with 188.75 points and Trey Jaso fourth with 184.80.

Park was second in the 200-yard medley relay with the team of Parker Jeseritz, Lalee Yang, Damion Charpentier and Luke Dockendorf finishing in 1:49.07. The Wolfpack team of Alex Baraibar, Paul Wallace, Tyler Cracauer and Will Mann was third in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:53.82. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Park’s Yang, Dockendorf, Charpentier and Jeseritz finished in 3:35.41.

Yang was second in the 200-yard IM (2:14.61) and Charpentier third (2:16.96), Mann was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:19.85) and fourth in the 500 freestyle (6:02.44). Jeseritz was second in the 50 freestyle (24.03) and second in the backstroke (59.00). Charpentier finished second in the butterfly (59.88), Yang was second in the 100-yard freestyle (53.26), Baraibar clocked a 1:23.16 time in the breaststroke and John Selix finished in 1;24.71.

Stillwater won the meet 110-80.

Park ties, loses in SEC girls' hockey
Seventh-ranked and league-leading Woodbury powered in five goals in the final period to defeated visiting Park Saturday evening at the M Health Fairview Sports Center in Suburban East Conference girls' hockey.

Park took a 1-0 lead on a first period even strength goal by Alaina Post but the Royals tied the game in the second period. Then nothing worked for the Wolfpack in the third as the Royals won the period 5-0. Woodbury scored on two power play goals and also three short-handed goals in the period. In all the Royals scored on four short-handed goals in the game.

Park fell to 5-6-1 in the SEC and 9-8-2 on the season.

Woodbury remained undefeated in the conference at 11-0 and improved to 17-0-1 overall.

Park squares off against rival East Ridge (10-9, 6-5) Saturday at Cottage Grove Ice Arena with a 2:15 p.m. start time.

Park 3, Roseville/Mahtomedi 3 (OT)

Visiting Park battled host Roseville/Mahtomedi to a 3-all tie Wednesday at Roseville in Suburban East Conference girls' hockey. The tie snapped a six-game Park winning streak.

Roseville took a 2-0 lead early in the second period, but the Wolfpack battled back, outscoring the hosts 2-1 in the third to send the game into overtime. Neither team managed a goal in the extra period.

Josie Leonard, Lauren Osland and Maleah McMorrow scored goals for the Wolfpack. Kyra Stoffer, Addie Corkish and Alaine Post had assists. Osland and McMorrow scored in the space of 1:04 in the middle of the third period to know the game up.

Alayna Adamez went the distance in goal for the Wolfpack, stopping 31 of 34 shots.

Payne helps Texas A&M beat Sooners

Former Park basketball star Pharrel Payne had 10 points, two rebounds and one steal in 9th ranked Texas A&M’s 80-78 win over Oklahoma on Jan. 28.

Payne, a 6-9 junior forward, went 3-for-3 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line in 20 minutes of playing time against the Sooners. Payne is averaging 6.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks a game for the Aggies.

On Saturday, Payne scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a 94-88 loss to fifth ranked and visiting Alabama in a top 10 battle at College Station.

Texas A&M is 13-3 overall and 2-1 in the SE Conference.

Rudh leads St. Thomas Academy

Former Park High hockey star Jackson Rudh, now playing at St. Thomas Academy, is having another strong season.

Rudh is leading the third-ranked Cadets with 17 goals and 17 assists so far this season.

St. Thomas Academy is 4-0 in the Metro East and 13-2 overall.
