Davis, Bollman pace Park gymnasts
Ashley Davis (36.725) and Makayla Bollman (34.875) went 1-3 in the all-around Thursday as Park squared off against Forest Lake in Suburban East Conference gymnastics.
Davis won the floor exercise (9.5), finished second on the vault (9.4) bars (8.675) and bean, (9.150), scoring nines or better in three out of the four events.
Bollman was sixth on the vault (9.0), fifth on bars (8.075), fourth on the beam (8.7) and seventh on the floor (9.1).
Clara Opichka of the Wolfpack placed seventh in the all-around (23.950), Natalie Peters was ninth (16.875), Alice Wood 11th (16.2), Savanna Woulfe 12th (15.7), Isabelle Brown 14th (8.6) and Kate Redmond 17th (7.6).
On the vault. Park’s Brown scored an 8.6, Peters an 8.475 and Kadence Glide an 8.375.
Opichka was sixth on bars (7.9), Redmond ninth (7.6) and Woulfe 10th (7.55).
Woulfe placed sixth on beam (8.15), Wood was seventh (8.0) and Opichka 10th (7.45).
On the floor, Opichka scored an 8.6, Peters an 8.4 and Wood an 8.2.
Park has just two meets left in the regular season. The Wolfpack compete at Woodbury Thursday, then go to East Ridge on Feb. 6.
Seventh-ranked Forest Lake won the dual meet, defeating 20th ranked Park 141.550 to 137.325. Park’s team score was one of its best of the season.
Thunderbolts go to 3-1 with victory
The South Washington Thunderbolts moved to 3-1 on the season with a 10-7 win over visiting Dakota United in varsity floor hockey Thursday.
The Thunderbolts now have beaten Shakopee/Chanhassen/Chaska (13-5), South Suburban (11-1) and Dakota United (10-7), along with a loss to Stillwater/Mahtomedi (5-6). The team stands tied for second in the CI South standings.
South Washington County hosts Mankato Thursday at Woodbury High School, starting at 4:30 p.m.
