Park’s Bloch, Carr and Lankow wrestle to tournament titles
Freshman Nolan Bloch, senior Zack Carr and Rebekah Lankow all won titles as Park finished fifth in the team race with 95.5 points in the 12-team Board-Hyland Cardinal Invitational at Coon Rapids High School Saturday.
Carr, now ranked third at 152 pounds, pinned Max Morehead of Eden Prairie in 2:44 to win the 152-pound title. Bloch triumphed at 114 pounds with a pin in 3:21 over Alex Xiony of Coon Rapids.
Lankow took first in the girls 131.3-140.6 division.
Senior Jesse Wright was third at 2:15 with a pin in 5:26 in the finals.
Centennial won the team race with 245 points, followed by: 2, Hastings, 178; 3, Mankato East, 161. 5; 4, Coon Rapids, 132.5; 5, Park, 95.5; 6, Royalton-Upsala, 85; 7, White Bear Lake, 78.5; 8, Maple Grove, 74; 9, Mahtomedi, 67; 10, Eden Prairie, 51.5; 11, Minnetonka, 41.5; 12, St. Paul Washington Technology Magnet, 14.
Park dropped two decisions Thursday in the Mounds View triangular, losing 45-24 to sixth-ranked Mounds View and then getting edged by Woodbury, 40-36.
Park wrestles Thursday at Forest Lake against second-ranked Stillwater and 10th-ranked Forest Lake.

Boys hockey drops a pair of games
Visiting White Bear Lake put a 7-0 hurt on the Park Wolfpack in Suburban East Conference boys hockey Saturday afternoon at Cottage Grove Ice Arena.
White bear led 2-0 after one period and 4-0 after two.
White Bear Lake outshot the Wolfpack 38-17. Park goalie Henry Voss stopped 31 of 38 attempts.
Forest Lake 3, Park 2
The host Rangers turned back a Park rally Thursday at Forest Lake Sports Center, winning 3-2 in Suburban East Conference hockey.
Forest Lake led 1-0 after one period and 3-0 after two before the Wolfpack punched in two goals in the third period. But that was as close as Park got.
Kayden Hoberg scored at 2:31 of the third and Nick Bailey followed at 5:39, both on even strength goals. Hayden Bellinger, Jaxson Yates, Gavin Sand and Luke Dahlstrom earned assists.
Henry Voss went the distance in the net for the Wolfpack, stopping 22 of 25 shots. Park had 26 shots against Forest Lake.
In a rare two-game schedule, Park (0-4-1, 0-3) hosts winless Mounds View (0-5, 0-2) Wednesday then plats at Mounds View on Thursday. The Wolfpack then host Duluth Denfeld (1-3) on Saturday.
Park swimmers open the season
A third place finish in the 400-yard medley relay 4x100 IM relay highlighted Park’s efforts Thursday in the Suburban East Conference relays at Oltman Middle School.
Park’s team of Gage Davis, Tyler Cracauer, Zachary Wood and Paul Wallace finished the relay in a time of 4:39.30.
Park was seventh in the 400-yard medley relay (Ethan Cole, Wallace, Damion Charpentier, Lalee Yang, 4:06.69); seventh in the 200-yard freestyle relay (Will Mann, Ryley Johnson, Logan Elsmore, Gavin Kelly, 2:02.90) and seventh in the 200-yard butterfly relay (Thorin Chen, Kelly, Cracauer, Davis, 2:14.99).
The Wolfpack team of Yang, Wood, John Selix and Charpentier finished fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 9:09.73. Park was fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with the foursome of Charpentier, Wallace, Yang and Cole finishing in 3:50.98.
Park opens the dual meet season Thursday at White Bear Lake. The Wolfpack host Cretin-Derham Hall in the home opener Dec. 18.
Girls hockey loses three decisions
Threes were an unlucky number for the Park Wolfpack last week as the team dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions and also fell 5-3 in a third game.
Host Cretin-Derham Hall took a 3-0 decision from visiting Park Saturday at Highland Ice Arean in Suburban East Conference girls hockey.
Roseville/Mahtomedi 5, Park 3
Host Roseville/Mahtomedi scored a 5-3 win over the Wolfpack Thursday at Roseville.
Roseville led 3-0 midway through the second before Maleah McMorrow’s goal got the Wolfpack on the scoreboard. Roseville led 4-1 in the third, but Park closed to within 4-3 on even-strength goals by Alaina Post and Stella Daly at the 14:53 mark. Roseville, however, scored eight second later for the final margin.
Park goalie Alayna Adamez stopped 11 of 16 shots. Park had 29 shots to 16 for the hosts.
Woodbury 3, Park 0
Visiting Woodbury blanked the host Wolfpack 3-0 in Suburban East Conference girls hockey Tuesday evening.
The Royals scored one goal in each of the periods. Woodbury outshot Park 38-19. Park goalie Alayna Adamez stopped 35 of 38 shots.
The Wolfpack were 0-for-5 on power plays, Woodbury 1-for-4.
Park (3-6, 1-5) hosts Forest Lake (4-6-1, 1-5-1) Saturday with a 7 p.m. start.
