Boys hockey team ties Bears
Park and White Bear Lake battled to a 1-all tie in overtime Wednesday in a game played at the United Heroes League Ice Rink.
Park scored first on a goal in the first period by Brady Siemer and that’s where the score stood until late in the third when the Bears evened the score at the 16:54 mark. Neither team could manager a tally in overtime.
White Bear Lake outshot Park 35-26.
Gavin Sand and Riley Koch earned assists on Park’s goal.
Goalie Henry Voss had 34 saves for the Wolfpack, a .971 win rate.
Park is 4-6-1 in the Suburban East Conference and 8-9-2 on the season, White Bear Lake is 6-3-1 in the conference and 8-8-2 overall.
Next up for the Wolfpack is a non-conference game at home against Holy Family (10-9) Wednesday, starting at 7:30 p.m. Park then hosts Roseville (9-8-1, 4-6-1) at Cottage Grove Ice Arena Saturday, starting at 7 p.m.
Thunderbolts win again, now 6-1
The South Washington County Thunderbolts went to 6-1 on the adapted hockey season with a 10-3 win at Owatonna Wednesday.
It was the Thunderbolts sixth straight victory following a season-opening loss.
South Washington hosts Lakeville/Burnsville/Farmington Wednesday at Park, starting at 4:30 p.m.
