Volleyball team falls at East Ridge

Visiting Park took on fourth-ranked and Suburban East Conference champion East Ridge Tuesday and dropped a four-game decision. The Raptors won 26-24, 25-7, 25-27 and 25-10.

Game three was the first time this season any SEC team had taken a game from the Raptors. East Ridge went 27-1 in nine conference games.

East Ridge finished 9-0 in the SEC and 20-7 overall for the regular season.

Park finished 3-6 in the conference and 1311 on the season so far.

Fifth-seeded Park was scheduled to begin Section 3AAAA play Tuesday at fourth-seeded Eastview (12-15). The winner of that game plays Thursday, Oct. 27, likely at top-seeded East Ridge.

LeMay, Norgaard pace Park swim and dive Afton LeMay won the 500-yard varsity freestyle (6:19.35) and Amber Norgaard finished first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.09) to highlight Park’s swim and dive team efforts at Roseville Tuesday to wrap up the regular season.

Sarah Weston of the Wolfpack finished third in the diving with a score of 170.20. Arachi O’Brien was second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:13.45) and fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:12.94). Ellie Imdieke was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:08.27. Zoe Speikers had a fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:31.58. Ella Langness had a time of 1:24.62 in the 100-yard backstroke, just ahead of teammate Zoe Pfeiffer who clocked a 1:24.67 race.

Park was second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the foursome of Norgaard, Alayna Faletti, Danika Rowan and Pfeiffer in 1:51.91.

Park was third in the medley relay with the team of O’Brien, LeMay, Faletti and Rowan in 2:08.29.

The 4×100 freestyle relay team of LeMay, Faletti, O’Brien and Norgaard came in with a time of 4:05.64.

Roseville won the meet 102-76. The Wolfpack will compete in the Suburban East Conference meet Thursday, Oct. 27 at the White Bear Lake YMCA starting at 6 p.m.
