Park boys tennis team beats Simley
The Park boys tennis team scored a 5-2 win over Simley Friday. The Wolfpack won three of four singles and two of three doubles in the match. Park’s depth was key to the win over Simley as the No. 3 and 4 singles matches, as well as the No.2 and 3 doubles matches, all went to the Wolfpack.
No.1 singles – Caleb Swigert, Park, won 5-4, injury default.
No. 2 singles – Noah Holmgren, Park, lost 3-6, 4-6.
No. 3 singles – Oliver Cox, Park, won 6-3, 6-1.
No. 4 singles – Drew Mc-Donald, Park, won 6-2, 6-3.
No. 1 doubles – Josh Hess-Robbie Menard, Park, lost 4-6, 3-6.
No. 2 doubles – Parker Jesseritz- Ethan Cole, Park won 6-0, 6-1.
No. 3 doubles – Bailey Lane-Connor Dahlquist, Park, won 6-2, 6-4.
On Thursday, Roseville blanked Park, 7-0.
Park plays at Woodbury Friday afternoon.
Park girls lacrosse team goes to 4-2 Madi Brinkman and Shelby Hansen each powered in three goals to lead the Wolfpack to a 10-3 win over host Mounds View in girls lacrosse Wednesday.
Josie Leonard scored twice, while Kyleigh Mullen and Megan Maloney once each for Park.
Starting goalie Aubree Laska allowed just one goal in 45 minutes of work. Lauryn Ehrenstrom relived Laska for five minutes in the net.
Park improved to 4-2 on the season and to 2-2 in the Suburban East Conference with the seven-goal win.
Next game for the Wolfpack is at Roseville (0-4, 0-6) Wednesday, May 4.
