Thunderbolts drop state tournament opener

The South Washington County Thunderbolts lost a 9-1 decision in the first round, falling to the undefeated Dakota United Hawks in the 2023 Minnesota State Adapted Softball CI tournament at Chanhassen High School.

In consolation play, the Thunderbolts fell to the Osseo Orioles Saturday, 8-5.

Baseball team falls to Eastview

Eastview 7, Park 0

Host Eastview defeated visiting Park 7-0 Wednesday May 31 in a Section 3AAAA elimination bracket game at Eastview High School.

Park ended the season with a 7-15 record.

Eastview (14-8) stayed alive in the tournament.

 Eagan knocks out Park boys lacrosse team

Park 19, Simley 2

Host Park routed Simley 19-2 in a Section 3 first round boys lacrosse game Tuesday at Park High School.

Eagan 22. Park 2

Host Eagan (9-5) dominated the action Thursday, winning 22-2 in a Section 3 Quarterfinal boys lacrosse matchup.

The Wildcats led 8-1 after a quarter, 13-1 at the half and 19-2 after three quarters.

Park managed just four shots on goal in the game. It was the most lopsided loss of the season for the Wolfpack, who won their previous game against Simley by 17 goals.

Park ended the season with a 6-9 record.

Brenden Bloedel ended the season as Park’s leading scorer with 27 goals and 12 assists in 13 games. Christopher Wilson had 20 goals, Angelo Cullen 18 and Bradley Johnson 14.
