Wolfpack girls soccer team takes 2-0 triumph

After two scoreless ties to open the season, Park got on the winning side of the scoreboard Tuesday, Aug. 29, with a 2-0 non-conference win at Burnsville.

Kylee Nickle and Lila Krumrie scored goals for the Wolfpack in the win. Hanna Williams had an assist.

Josie Leonard got the win in goal, stopping two Burnsville shots. Burnsville fell to 0-3.

Park (1-0-2) plays at Mounds View (1-2) in a Suburban East Conference contest on Thursday, Sept. 7, starting at 5 p.m.
 

Park wins 3-0, goes to 2-1 in boys soccer

Park scored a season-high three goals and goalkeeper Carter Geisen pitched a shutout as the Wolfpack defeated host Burnsville 3-0 Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Tristen Lee, Noah Haupt and Gavin Oberding scored for the Wolfpack. Terry Garibay, Ayub Mohamed and Killian Krech recorded assists.

Geisen deflected the only three shots he faced as the Park defenders kept the Burnsville attackers well in check.

Park improved its non-conference record to 2-1 with the win. The Wolfpack plays at Mounds View Thursday, Sept. 7, starting at 7 p.m.
 

 Girls' tennis team drops 6-1 decisions

Park suffered a pair of 6-1 road losses in girls' tennis last week, falling to both Two Rivers and East Ridge by identical scores.

Against East Ridge, on Thursday, Grace Townsend had Park’s only win, topping her opponent at No. 2 singles by a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 score.

Playing at Two Rivers on Aug. 29, Park’s Noelle Chapek and Chloe Newhouse won 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 doubles.
