Park’s Ashley Davis had herself quite a night as the Wolfpack closed out the regular gymnastics season with a win at Roseville Tuesday, outscoring the hosts 132.625 to 128.875.

Davis won the all-around, vault and bars, finished second on the beam and third on the floor. She led the Wolfpack with a winning score of 35.200 in the all-around. Emily Dahlstrom was third in the all around with a 32.775. Natalya Rugel with fifth with a score of 31.800, Clara Opichka was eighth with a 22.850 and Natalie Peters 11th with a one-event score of 8.325.

Davis finished first on the vault with a 9.125 score. Rugel was second (8.800), Dahlstrom fifth (8.500), Peters ninth (8.325) and Ava Klecatsky 10th (8.150).

On the bars, Davis scored an 8.775 to win the event. Opichka was fifth (7.825), Rugel seventh (7.325), Kate Redmond eighth (7.275) and Dahlstrom ninth (7.200).

Dahlstrom won the beam event, scoring an 8.600. Davis was second (8.600), Ruby Igl third (8.300), Rugel fifth (7.300) and Opichka 10th (6.700).

Davis finished third on the floor with a score of 8.700. Dahlstrom was fourth (8.475), Rugel fifth (8.375), Opichka sixth (8.325) and Annelise Faletti seventh (8.125).

Thew Wolfpack are now idle until the Section 3AA tournament, set for Friday Feb. 16, at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Raptors run past Wolfpack boys

Host East Ridge rolled to a 41-17 halftime lead and rocked the visiting Park Wolfpack 83-49 in a Suburban East Conference contest Friday.

The second half was more closely contested, but the Raptors won there, too, 42-32.

Tayvion Stewart was the only Park player to score in double figures Friday, with 14 points. Park’s second and third leading scorers on the season, guards Anthoiny Giadyu and AJ Kennedy, had just five points each.

Park (8-5, 10-9) hosts Roseville (6-7, 12-9) in its next game, meeting Friday, Feb. 16, with a 7 p.m. start time. The Wolfpack remain tied for third in the SEC. Cretin-Derham Hall (12-1, 15-4) leads, followed by East Ridge (11-2, 13-7), Mounds View (8-5, 14-6) and Park.


Park cagers drop two games

Visiting East Ridge made it two wins over Park this season, scoring a 65-30 victory at Cottage Grove in Suburban East Conference girls basketball Friday night.
Hailey Kieffer scored 11 points and Mesa Jameson 10 for the Wolfpack.

Park (3-12, 4-19) plays at Roseville (7-7, 12-8) Thursday, Feb. 15 in the penultimate game of the regular season.

Eagan 66, Park 37

Visiting Eagan jumped out to a 32-16 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Park Wolfpack 66-37 in a non-conference girls basketball game Wednesday at Cottage Grove.

Olivia Czarnota led Park with 12 points and Tori Henderson added 11 points.

Dance team places at section meet

Park finished 11th in the varsity kick division and 12th in jazz at the Section 3AAA meet Saturday at Bloomington Kennedy High School.

In the kick competition, Park scored an average of 45.0. Spring Lake Park was first with 74.9, Blaine second with 74.8 and Two Rivers third with 71.8.

In Jazz, Park scored an average of 45.8. Blaine won the event with a score of 74.1, followed by Forest Lake, 72.6 and Spring Lake Park, 72.4.

Thunderbolts fall in home finale

The South Washington Thunderbolts fell to 1-6 on the season in a 10-0 loss to visiting New Prague Thursday in varsity floor hockey.
