Park’s boys 4x100 meter relay team won, while OT Omot was second in the high jump (6-0) and Zoey Bammert-Mueller second in the girls shot put (32-09.50) to highlight the Wolfpack efforts In the White Bear Lake Invitational track and field meet Saturday.
The Wolfpack team of Skylar Morgan, David Ola-Kazeem, Paul Giadyu and OT Omot won the 4x100 in a season best time of 45.72.
Ola-Kazeem was third (38.11.75) and Morgan fifth (38-03.00) in the triple jump. Nicholas McDonald was fifth (10:44.42) and Gavin Stauffer sixth (10:56.47) in the 3,200-meter run. Ola-Kazeem was sixth (19-07.00) and Omot eighth (19-02.75) in the boys long jump.
Park’s 4x800 team of McDonald, Tyler Krogman, Jack Weir and Stauffer finished fifth in 9:03.56. Calik Nute was eighth in the shot put (40-09.00)
In the girls' events, Hailey Kieffer finished fourth in both the high jump (4-8) and in the 300-meter hurdles (52.69).
Finley Leick was fifth in the girls 800-meter run in 2:35.70. Savannah Brown was eighth in the pole vault (6-6). Rebecca Oyebanji was eighth in the discus (80-06).
Park’s foursome of Madeline Finstad, Ameenah Alowonle, Kylee Nickle and Rainna Jameson was third in the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 53.32. Park was fourth in the 4x200 with the team of Kieffer, Gabriella Faletti, Finstad and Nickle finishing in 1:59.79.
Henry Schluetter finished seventh in the 400 in a time of 56.62. Miskir Esayas was eighth in the boys 200 (24.38).
Park finished sixth in both the boys and girls team races.
In the boys meet, Spring Lake Park finished first with 158.5 points, followed by White Bear Lake, 133; Mahtomedi, 109; Centennial, 106; Irondale, 68.5; Park, 50; Rock Ridge, 48 and Roseville, 28.
In the girls' team race, it was Spring Lake Park winning with 167 points, followed by: White Bear Lake, 161.5; Mahtomedi, 121; Centennial, 120; Irondale, 54.5; Park, 36 and Rock Ridge, 33.
Jameson, Omot place in elite meet
Rainna Jameson finished second in the high jump (5-5) in the Hamline Elite meet in St. Paul Friday, April 28. Jameson is already the school record holder with a best of 5-6 set last spring.
OT Omot finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 43-03.25.
Distance runners, throwers jumpers pace Wolfpack at Woodbury
Finley Leick finished first in the girls 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:42.18 and Nicholas McDonald won the boys 1,600 in 4:57.92 to lead the Park boys and girls in the Tom Moore Invitational at Woodbury High School Thursday.
McDonald was also second in the boys 800-meter run in 2:13.32. Brandon Carver was sixth in the race in 2:18.80.
Park’s Tyler Krogman was fourth in the boys 1,6000 in 5:01.88, Gavin Stauffer fifth in 5:02.14, Mason Allen seventh in 5:03.43 and Brandon Carver ninth in 5:07.44. In all, the Wolfpack took four of the top seven places in the race and seven of the top 12.
Henry Schluette took top honors in the boys 400-meter run in 55.32, while William Deutsch was third in the same race in 57.44. Skylar Morgan finished sixth in the 200 in 23.97. Morgan was also fifth in the long jump with a best of 19-00.00.
David Ola-Kazeem (41-10.50) and Skyler Morgan (38-07.00) went 1-2 in the boys triple jump. Ola-Kazeem was sixth in the long jump at 18-11-00. Bryan Wright was sixth in the triple jump (38-00.50), Paul GIadyu seventh (37-11.00) and Epherem Aballa eighth (37-00.00). Samuel Lankow was third in the boys' pole vault (8-0).
Park senior OT Omot finished second in the boys high jump at 5-10 and was sixth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.76. Eyuel Miftah was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.85. Park finished first in the boys 4x200-meter relay in 1:38.12 and the “A” team raced to a win in the boys 4x400-meter relay in 3:39.88. The Park “C” team won the boys 4x100 in 46.73.
Calik Nute (43-06.00) was third and Taran Blasy sixth (39-03.75) in the boys shot put. Samuel Paulsen was ninth in the discus (92-09.00).
Park’s throwers went 1-2-3, five of the top six and eight of the top 10 in the girls shot put. Sophomore Zoey-Bammert-Mueller won the event with a toss of 24-00.00. Junior Anna-Marie Larsen was second at 28-03.25 and senior Rebecca Oyebanj third at 27-06.00.
Park swept the top six places in the girls discus. Oyebanj won with a throw of 85-06.00, Haley Gravelle was second and Zoey-Bammert-Mueller third, both at 72-08.00/
Savannah Brown won the girls pole vault, clearing 8-0.
Park’s Rainna Jameson finished second in the girls 200-meter dash in 28.70. Gabriella Faletti was fifth in the race in 29.26.
Park took four of the top six places in the girls high jump. Alliya Tannahill was second (4-8), Hailey Kieffer third (4-4), Morgan Eberwine fifth (4-2) and McKayla Annan sixth (4-2).
Elizabeth Ayala was third in the 100-meter hurdles (19.42). Hailey Kieffer finished third in the 300-meter hurdles in 53.83. Annelisa Faletti was fourth in the girls 400-meter run in 1:07.46 and teammate Kalin Randrup sixth in 1:09.31. Ameenah Alowonle was eighth in the 100-meter dash (13.90). Park won the girls 4x200-meter relay in 1:53.65 and were fifth in the 4x100 in 56.26.
