Park High’s annual girls volleyball skills and drills camp wrapped up this week with lots of new skills learned, new friendships formed and old ones rekindled.
The three week camp, which ran from July 7 to July 24 at Oltman Middle School, was designed to teach both individual skills as well as team concepts.
Players from sixth grade through high school participated, with coaching from members of the Park High School volleyball program as well as recent Wolfpack graduates.
Players learned skill development in setting, passing, hitting and blocking. There was also development in team defense, offense, and serve receive.
Week one focused on individual skill development. Players in week two were taught how to put their skills together along with team concepts. Week three focused on 6-on-6 team skills and play.
All participants received a T-shirt, but most importantly were the skills and concepts learned, and laughter shared.
