Park hosted its final home meet of the season Thursday, pinning Eagan 44-27 in the third meet pf the night, while dropping a 46-30 decision to a strong Watertown-Mayer team in the meet opener.
Fifth-ranked at 139 pounds, Park’s Zack Carr scored two falls on the night, dropping Eagan’s Karson Thissen in 48 seconds and pinning Watertown-Mayer’s Karson Tufte in 3:41.
Park’s eighth-ranked Landen Brooks, Layne Frandrup, fifth-ranked Gunnar Mullen, 10th-ranked Dylan Richardson and Samuel Lankow all scored falls against Eagan.
Next up for the Wolfpack is the Section 3AAA team sections, held at Woodbury High School this season, on Friday, Feb. 16, starting at 4 p.m. Hastings, ranked fifth in Class AAA, is again the team to beat in the section team tournament.
The individual section wrestling will be held the following week, on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Two Rivers High School.
