Fourth-ranked freshman Landen Brooks remained sidelined this week.

“The team continues to wrestle well, bringing home hardware two weeks in row is a good thing and we have not been full strength yet this season for individual tournaments,” said Park head coach Jim LaBrosse. “We still have work to do in our lower weights, but our ranked kids are wrestling at a high level right now. (We have a) big test this weekend going to the Minnesota Christmas tournament I at Rochester Mayo Civic Center, one of the toughest tournaments in the nation.”

Wayzata won the 14-team tournament with 173 points. Park was second with 146, followed by Elk River, 144; Woodbury, 143 and 10 other teams. Eden Prairie was seventh with 96 points and East Ridge 12th with 50.5.
