Park’s high jumpers led the way as the Wolfpack opened the 2025 track and field season Friday at a 16-team indoor meet at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Park senior Rainna Jameson cleared 5-2 to win the girls high jump, while sophomore O’neal Attisso went 6-2 to finish first in the boy's competition. Jameson also finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 14-11.75.
It was an opening meet of good performances throughout the Park lineup.
Girls' events
Sophomore Kylee Nickle was second in the 200 meters (28.19) and eighth in the 60-meter dash (8.37). Brianna Wenzel and Mallorie Yang tied for 10th in the 60 (8.41), Madeline Finstad was 18th (8.60), Ameenah Alowonle 19th (8.61) and Elizabeth Kamande 27th (8.77). Finstad was 17thin the 200 (29.68), Lillie Finstad 35th (30.77) and Leilani Barcenas 37th (30.86).
Malaya Ramirez took third in the 400 meters in 1:06.32, Caroline Faust was fifth in 1:06.69 and Hailey Kieffer 29th in 1:14.65.
Kalin Randrup placed 13th in the 800 (2:45.85) and Alexandra Cuellar 27th in 3:03.52.
Jana Hafiz placed 16th in the 1,600 (6:20.76) and Allison Devine was 21st in 6:42.54.
Sharon Oni finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.03. Elizabeth Ayala was 15th in 11.91.
Pajyeeb Kong was 11th in the shot put (29-2) and Marina Patrick 37th (23-6).
Park’s 4x400 relay team of Faust, Ramirez, Hafiz and Randrup finished fourth in a time of 4:35.84.
Esme Edlund placed 16th in the high jump, clearing 4-0.
Park’s varsity boys and girls compete Friday in the Knights Under the Lights meet at Irondale, which starts at 4 p.m. at Irondale.
Boys' events
Park senior Dominic Jenkins finished third in the 400 meters in a time of 54.35 and sophomore teammate Kroix Pearson was just behind in fourth in 54.86. Dylan Davis was 24th in 1:00.84.
Sophomore Henry Joa took third in the 1,600-meter finals in 4:54.13. Ben Paulsen was seventh in 4:57.40.
Liam Fleming was ninth in the 800-meter run (2:19.68) and Miles Kaiser 11th (2:21.38).
Alexander Djadoo was 20th in the 60-meter dash (7.54), Bryan Wright 30th (7.66), Jayveon Wade 42nd (7.76) and Jayden Rentz 45th (7.78). Miskir Esayas finished 16th in the 200 (24.74), Jacob Chipman was 17th (24.80), Jayveson Wade 36th (25.71) and Olumide Aluko 37th (25.72).
Donovan Sheak was 21st in the 60-meter hurdles (11.72).
Park’s 4x400 relay team of Jenkins, Pearson, Attisso and Eyuel Miftah, was fourth in 3:46.26.
Junior Aidan Boche threw the shot 42-5 to finish fourth. Charles Blumberg was 16th in the shot put at 36-7.
Hazim King was third in the high jump at 6-0.
Wright took second in the triple jump, just missing 40 feet, with a 39-9.5 mark. He also led the Park long jumpers, finishing 10th with a 18-8.5 leap. Daniel Boesch was 17th at 17-7 and Miftah 18th at 17-5.25.
