Pollinator Planting and Seeding Oct. 14 in Stillwater

Lend a helping hand and save the pollinators from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at Pine Point Regional Park in Stillwater. Participants of this event will enhance a new savanna area added into the Pine Point Regional Park with over 2,500 native plants and shrubs to create a meadow and hedgerow. Participants will also learn about pollinators and pollinator habitat during mini demonstrations and talks. This is a great way to help our pollinator friends and create beauty at the same time.

Upon arrival at the Pine Point Regional Park parking lot, participants will be directed to the planting area. If possible, each participant is asked to please provide their own shovel, garden gloves and pail. Washington County Parks suggests dressing appropriately for all weather as this is an outdoor event. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled.

Please register online at https://www.co.washington.mn.us/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=3766.

Pine Point Regional Park is located at 11900 Norell Ave., North Stillwater.

This project is possible through a generous grant from Hugh J. Andersen Foundation and is a joint program by Pollinator Friendly Alliance, Washington Conservation District, Washington County Parks and Wild Ones Oak Savanna.
