Appearing before the Cottage Grove Council Wednesday, Feb. 21, the Cottage Grove Public Safety Board took time along with the Cottage Grove Lions to promote the Craig Woolery Scholarship. Founded by Justin and Kim Olsen and named for former Cottage Gove public safety director Craig Woolery, the $3,500 scholarship made possible by the Olsens and Cottage Grove Lions Club is managed by the Public Safety Board, and looks to provide Cottage Grove residents thinking of pursuing law enforcement with postsecondary education aid. The Public Safety Board and Lions also donate money to those law enforcement families recently affected by events in Burnsville.
