St. Paul Park Mayor Keith Franke reads from an award at the Dec. 2 St. Paul Park City Council meeting to recognize St. Paul Park Speedway manager Kassie Hannon for demonstrating exceptional heroism in administering CPR until first responders could arrive, after a gentleman collapsed at the store. Thanks to Hannon’s actions, the person in distress was able to be stabilized and make it to the hospital. Hannon was talked through CPR by Washington County Dispatcher Sarah Garrison, who was also recognized. The award for Garrison was accepted by Washington County Commissioner Karla Bigham on Garrison’s behalf, as she was unable to be present for the Dec. 2 council meeting.
