Park’s winning effort in the 200-yard freestyle relay helped the Wolfpack swimmers and divers to a fourth-place finish in the 11-team Tartan Invite Saturday at Skyview Middle School.
The team of Alayna Faletti, Afton LeMay, Ella Langness and Amber Norgaard finished the 200-yard freestyle relay in a tine of 1:49.36, some two seconds faster than the second-place team.
Norgaard was a very close second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:32.39). Norgaard was also fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:17.47.
Mounds Park Academy St. Croix won the meet with 359 points, followed by White Bear Lake, 330; Tartan, 307; Park, 282; and River Falls, 240.
Park was third in the 200-medley relay with the team of Faletti, LeMay, Eraya Nybakken and Norgaard finishing in 2:05.35. The Wolfpack team of Langness, Katelyn Norgaard, Pfeiffer and Nybakken was sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:28.57.
Faletti finished third in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 1:00.34. Nybakken was 11th in the race in 1:04.84.
Faletti also took fourth (27.64) and LeMay fifth (27.75) in the 50-yard freestyle. LeMay was sixth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:11.30)
Park’s Sarah Weston was third in diving with 315.55 points and Isabelle Brown seventh with 144.50.
Ellie Imdieke finished sixth in the 200-yard IM (2:40.45) and Zoe Pfeiffer was seventh (2:40.62). Ella Langness was 10th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:24.90).
Stillwater swam past Park Thursday in a Suburban East Conference dual meet, winning 97-79.
Amber Norgaard won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.71 and Afton LeMay finished first in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:12.30 to lead the Wolfpack. Zoe Pfeiffer had a first-place time of 1:25.52 in the breaststroke.
Sarah Weston had a second-place finish in diving, scoring 171.85 points.
Park’s 200-yaard freestyle relay team of Faletti, Imdieke, Rowan and Norgaard clocked a 1:54.00 time to finish first. The Wolfpack team of Faletti, LeMay, Rowan and Nybakken won the final 400-yard freestyle relay with a 4:18.75.
