Mayor Myron Bailey kicked off the Ribbon cutting ceremony for Grove 80 Apartments by explaining, to the best of his knowledge, a new apartment complex has not opened in Cottage Grove since sometime in the 1970’s.
Flanked by Senator Karla Bigham, Representative Tony Jurgens, County Commissioner Wayne Johnson, City Councilman Dave Thiede and Northshore Development Partners representative Katelyn Murray, Mayor Bailey spoke on how exciting it is to have a new, market rate apartment complex so close to all the retail space in Cottage Grove.
The grand opening was held back on September 1, and already, the apartment complex is roughly 70% leased. The building has 120, market rate apartments so that means roughly 35 apartments remain available. Murray spoke on the various sized apartments the building houses, studio apartments that start around $1,150+ a month, one bedroom $1,350+, two bedrooms $2,300+. The building has amazing amenities such as a beautiful community gathering space and outdoor deck on the first floor, a fitness center, in apartment laundry and underground parking.
