Autumn fills the air as community music begins another amazing season.  The River Valley band will begin its 17^thseason with its annual Veterans Day Concert on Sunday, November 8th at 1:00 pm at Hastings Middle School Auditorium. 

This FREE event celebrates the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans and families along with first responders.  This powerful and reflective program includes a variety of music which includes “National Emblem March,” “Summon the Heroes,” and “Armed Forces Salute.”   The band will also be joined by the local Vets groups to present the colors and bring further honor to our local vets.  

The River Valley Band continues to fulfill its mission of bringing high-quality concert band programs to the Hastings community and hopes that you will be able to attend.  Mark your calendars now – Sunday, November 8th at 1pm at the Hastings Middle School Auditorium. 

A free-will offering will be taken in support of the Band at the concert. Continuing its tradition of fostering neighborliness, the Band will also collect food donations from the audience for Hastings Family Service.

The band would like to thank the American Legion Post #47 and VFW Post 1210 for their generous and ongoing support for the Veterans Day Concert.  Following the concert these groups will be hosting a Veteran’s Day Dinner at the Hastings Public House from 4-7 pm.  Tickets are $20.

The band would also like to thank HPAC and the other River Valley community organizations for their ongoing support.
