Second Annual Historic Grounds Coffee Tasting set for Oct. 7

Posted

The Washington County Historical Society is excited to announce the Second Annual Historic Grounds Coffee Tasting from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Washington County Heritage Center (1862 Greeley St. S., Stillwater). Come celebrate autumn in a cozy, festive atmosphere featuring buzzworthy brews from local shops!

“Gilmore Girls [TV series] inspired this entire idea,” explained Heritage Center Site Manager Emily Krawczewski. “I thought it would be a fun way to promote local coffee shops and connect with the community in a unique way. Plus, what’s better than a warm cup of coffee on a crisp fall morning?”

Local shops participating in the tasting include The Anchor Coffee House (White Bear Lake), Art’s Coffee (Stillwater), Dunn Brothers (Stillwater location), Ember & Bean Roasting Co. (Hudson), Kodiak Coffee (Forest Lake), MADE Coffee (Stillwater), and You & Me Café (Stillwater).

Tickets are $10/person, with children ages 10 and under free. WCHS recommends purchasing tickets in advance at wchsmn.org. Attendees will be treated to tastings of coffee from each business, pastries, games, and giveaways! Proceeds from the tasting help the Washington County Historical Society continue to preserve and share the rich history of the area.

For questions, contact Washington County Heritage Center Site Manager Emily Krawczewski at emily.krawczewski@wchsmn.org or 651-439-2298. The Washington County Heritage Center is open for visitors Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
