The annual medallion hunt is on!
Starting Monday, March 9 with the first clue, the contest runs through Friday or until someone finds the medallion.
Clue number 1 shared Monday reads as follows:
A sixth year is underway,
The time has come to start the play,
A park is where the prize will be,
Large or small, wait and see.
Clue number 2 shared Tuesday builds on the first:
The court is set, the hoops are high,
From playground slides to grassy trails,
Search for where your patience yields.
Additional clues will be posted on the City of Cottage Grove and Cottage Grove Parks and Recreation Facebook pages at 9 a.m. and in the lobby of Cottage Grove City Hall at 8 a.m. After five days no more clues will be posted. The winner of this year's medallion hunt will receive $250.
The medallion hunt is open to City of Cottage Grove residents only. Those that find the medallion must show ID proving resident status. The medallion hunt is not open to city staff or immediate family. Winners must drive to City Hall once the medallion is found. If found outside of normal operating hours, please message the City of Cottage Grove Facebook page for more information.
