Park wrapped up the regular season with another big road win, dropping Winona Cotter 12-6 Saturday in Winona.
The win, Park’s fifth straight, gives the Wolfpack a 13-6 season record heading into the section playoffs.
Park drew the second seed in the Section 3AAAA softball tournament and was scheduled to play seventh-seeded Eagan (8-12) Tuesday in the tournament opener. The winner of that game is scheduled to face the winner of third-seeded Eastview (9-11) and sixth-seeded Two Rivers (10-10) at the high seed site on Thursday, starting at 4:30 p.m.
In the other half of the bracket, top-seeded and second-ranked Rosemount (17-3) was matched with eighth-seeded Burnsville (4-15) and fourth-seeded Hastings (13-5) matched with fifth-seeded East Ridge (9-10).
The section semifinals are set for Tuesday, May 28, with the finals on Thursday, May 30, all games at the M-Health Fairview Sports Complex.
Park 4, Roseville 0
Park won its third straight game, and fifth in the last six with a 40 win over host Roseville in Suburban East Conference softball Wednesday.
In two games this season, Park outscored Roseville 17-3.
Park improved to 11-6 in the conference. Roseville fell to 6-12.
Park 15, Mounds View 0
The Wolfpack routed host Mounds View 15-0 in a makeup game at Rice Creek Park Thursday afternoon.
Park has been on an offensive roll since May 10, winning games 13-3, 13-0, 4-0 and 15-0.
The Wolfpack finished 12-6 in the Suburban East Conference, tying for third place in the league. Forest Lake won the conference title with a 15-3 record, followed by Stillwater (13-5), Park, White Bear Lake and Cretin-Derham Hall, all at 12-6.
