It’s that time of year again, when spring is about and summer plans begin to take shape. With Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest 2025 just months away, the Strawberry Fest Royal Ambassadors Scholarship program is seeking its newest ambassadors.
As such, an informational meeting will take place Wednesday, April 2 at 6 p.m. at Carbone’s in Cottage Grove. The Strawberry Fest Royal Ambassadors Program is open to both young women and young men between ages 8 - 21 and one does not have to be a Cottage Grove resident to apply. The program exists in part to provide an opportunity for Ambassadors to be involved in local and surrounding community while also gaining poise, speaking abilities, interview techniques and skills generally considered invaluable for a lifetime. Ambassadors will travel throughout the greater Twin Cities to represent Cottage Grove and will also be a part of many volunteer opportunities in Cottage Grove as well. Among things the program offers are the following:
• An opportunity to represent and volunteer in the community
• A positive growth experience
• Development of self-confidence and self-esteem
• Creation of lasting relationships with the community and local businesses
• A $1,500 educational college scholarship for those age 17 to 21
• An opportunity to become a role model
• The chance to meet many people of all ages from around the area
• A year of fun as an ambassador, and
• Community volunteer hours to enhance one’s job or college resume.
Each candidate will be sponsored by a local business and have an interview by the Ambassador Committee, with the Ambassador Court consisting of Miss Queen, Jr. Miss Queen, Little Miss Queen, Miss Princess, Jr. Miss Princess, and Little Miss Princess. Important dates to know include:
