Swim team goes 1-1 in dual meets

Amber Norgaard won two events Tuesday, Sept. 26, as the host Park Wolfpack swam past Simley in a non-conference dual meet, winning 95-88.

Norgaard won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.79 and came back with a victory in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:05.28.

Alana Faletti won the 50-yard freestyle sprint in 27.22. Sarah Weston took first in diving with a score of 191.55. Ellie Imdieke captured top honors in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:04.22. Afton LeMay won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:16.02.

The Wolfpack won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:51.40 with the foursome of LeMay, Danika Rowan, Langness and Amber Norgaard. Park was second in the 200-yard medley relay with the team of Zoe Pfeiffer, Afton LeMay, Alayna Faletti and Ella Langness swimming a 2:06.47 time.

Park swam an exhibition time of 4:08.30 in the 400-yard freestyle relay to cap the meet with the team of Faletti, Eraya Nybakken, Rowan and Amber Norgaard.

LeMay was second in the 200-yard IM in 2:30.81. Langness was third in the same race in 2:35.02. Faletti finished second in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.23. Kaylynn Sowada of Park was second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:04.14. Ellie Imdieke was third in the 200 freestyle in 2:17.83. Pfeiffer finished third in the 100 butterfly in 1:17.03. Evelyn Sahli was third in the breaststroke in 1:20.56.

On Thursday, host Forest Lake defeated Park in a dual meet, winning 115-71.

Faletti won the 200-yard IM in 2:30.89.

Amber Norgaard was first (26.50) and Afton LeMay third (27.47) in the 50-yard freestyle. Norgaard also won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.44.

Park was second in all three relays. In the 200-yard medley relay the team of Pfeiffer, LeMay, Faletti and Amber Norgaard finished in 2:05.00. The Wolfpack team of LeMay, Rowan, Langness and Norgaard finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:53.97. Park’s quartet of Imdieke, Nybakken, Langness and Rowan were second in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:32.37.

LeMay was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:10.19). Ellie Imdieke finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:07.78). Rowan was third in the 200 freestyle (2:21.30). Evelyn Sahli was second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:22.04) and took third in the 200-yard IM (2:43.43). Sarah Weston took third in diving (176.20 points). Katelyn Norgaard was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke (1:21.70).
