It’s been a fun three months getting to know you, Cottage Grove!

In mid-October, The Journal made a pledge to hit the ground running here with our new hometown newspaper.

Granted, it’s tough to get to know a lot of people during the pandemic, but we’ve appreciated the welcome we’ve received from Cottage Grove. From day one, we’ve done our best to cover the community, from the ambitious plans for a new community center project to citizens stepping up when the school district wanted to close an elementary school.

Our reporters have done a great job on hard-hitting news and catching the human side of this community. Now that Minnesota has allowed high school sports to return, The Journal is on top of the action.

As the number of our subscribers grows, we’re excited for our future here. Please help us get the word out about our newspaper. Tell your friends and neighbors about The Journal.

And if you own a business, consider advertising in The Journal. Our rates are affordable, and we can beat the coverage of any other publication in this area.

We really do appreciate the support our new hometown newspaper is receiving here. If you’d like to subscribe, please see the form on page 6, give us a call or check out thepaperboy. news and subscribe online.

I’d appreciate it if you’d consider shooting me an email and telling me what you think.

And thank you, Cottage Grove, for helping The Journal become Minnesota’s fastest- growing newspaper!
