Find your next treasure at the “Trash to Treasure” church rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 5 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the United Church of Christ in Cottage Grove. Saturday is an all-day $6 bag sale, and larger items and the “Next to New” room will be half price.
According to “Trash to Treasure” event supervisor Sheri Wohlers, “Proceeds for this sale will be used to buy diapers for local women’s shelters and food shelves, and to sponsor local families for the holidays, and to support the needs of the church.”
Wohlers added, “This rummage sale fills the entire church basement. Event goers will find clothing and accessories for all, including baby/children’s/men's/women's shoes, boots, lingerie, blankets and bedding, arts and crafts, kitchen items, decor, linens, books, toys, Granny Bev’s Attic vintage and collectibles, DVDs, CDs, sporting goods, electronics, tools, furniture, purses, and so much more.”
Lunch is available both Friday and Saturday for purchase, featuring pulled pork sandwiches, chicken noodle or potato soup made by the church basement ladies, or a tasty slice of pie. Soup is also for sale by the quart for take-out.
