Park triple jumpers Bryan Wright and Rainna Jameson both set personal records to lead the Park Wolfpack in the Section 2AAA True Team meet May 6 in Eagan.
Wright went 42-05.25 to finish second in the boys' triple jump. Jameson soared 34-10 to finish third in the girls' events.
Wright’s triple jump marks are moving into Park’s all-time best category. Eighth on the list is Tomi Awosika’s mark of 43-5 set in 2009 and seventh is Eyuel Miftah’s leap of 43-8 set last year.
Jameson also finished third in the high jump, clearing 4-10, and placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in another personal record time of 17. 06.
Park finished seventh in both the girls and boys team race.
Stillwater won the girls team race with 894 points, followed by Eagan, 823.5; White Bear Lake, 715; Hastings, 662.5; Woodbury, 457.5; East Ridge, 456; Park 252.5 and Tartan, 297.
Stillwater’s boys also captured the team title with 907.5 points. Woodbury was second with 686.5; followed by White Bear Lake, 682.5; Hastings, 647.5; Eagan, 644.5; East Ridge, 493.5; Park. 450 and Tartan. 198.
Boys' results
Alexander Djadoo placed 15th in the 100 meters (11.65), Miskir Esayas was 13th in the 200 (23.64), Kroix Pearson 12th in the 400 (52.36), Miles Kaiser 15th in the 800 (2:14.74). In the 1,600 Eli Firchau was seventh (4:37.55), Henry Joa 11th (4:42.37) and Benjamin Paulsen 17th (5:01.90), all in personal bests. Firchau was 18th in the 3,200, Joa 19th and Paulsen 21st. Donovan Sheak finished 16h in the 110-meter hurdles and 17th in the 300 hurdles (47.89).
In the relays, Park was seventh in the 4x100, fifth in the 4x200, sixth in the 4x400 and seventh in the 4x800.
Junior Aidan Boche had a solid day in the throws, finishing fifth in the discus (141-01) in a PR and 15th in the shot out (40-02.5).
O’neal Attisso and Hazim King tied for fifth in the high jump, both clearing 5-10. Dallas Johnson was 12th in the pole vault (8-0). Daniel Boesch led Park in the long jump at 20-00. Kalab Miftah was seventh in the triple jump (40-07.25).
Girls' results
Elizabeth Kamande was 20th in the 100 (13.75), Nevaeh Durham took 22nd in the 200 (29.92), Malaya Ramirez was 17th in the 400 (1:05.56), Esme Edlund finished 16th in the 800 (2:47.80) and Jana Hafiz was one place back in 17th (2:50.67). Ali Devine had Park’s top time in the 1,600, finishing 15th (6:34.08). Elizabeth Ayala was 14th in the 100-meter hurdles (18.91) and Sharon Oni 17th in the 300-meter hurdles (55.03).
Park’s relays teams were fifth in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x800 and seventh in the 4x400.
Zoey Bammert-Mueller took seventh in the shot put (32-01.5) and ninth in the discus (100-00).
Edlund finished 16th in the high jump (4-4). Jocelyn Meulemans was13h in the pole vault (7-00). McKayla Annan was 20th in the long jump (12-10.5) and 11th in the triple jump (31-07), both with PRs.
