They say one person’s trash is another person’s treasure, and this April, Cottage Grove United Church of Christ will be overflowing with both. The community is invited to the annual Trash to Treasure Sale, a massive two-day event featuring thousands of items at unbeatable prices, with all proceeds directly benefiting local families and women’s shelters.
The sale at 7008 Lamar Ave. S., offering a vast selection of goods including clothing for all ages, kitchen essentials, home decor, furniture, electronics, sporting goods, linens, shoes, books, and toys. Collectors and vintage lovers will want to head straight upstairs to 'Granny Bev’s Attic.' Previously a basement favorite, this curated collection has expanded into its own large room on the upper level. It is packed with unique collectibles, vintage treasures, and one-of-a-kind finds that you won’t see anywhere else. Visit the "Next to New" room featuring high-quality items.
Event Schedule & Highlights:
Friday, April 10 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Saturday, April 11 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.): The famous $6 Bag Sale runs all day! Additionally, larger items and everything in the "Next to New" room will be 50% off.
Shoppers can take a break from the hunt to enjoy a homemade lunch both days served by the "Church Basement Ladies." The menu features pulled pork
sandwiches, potato soup, and the church’s signature chicken noodle soup, followed by a slice of pie. For those on the go, soup will also be available by the quart to take home.
Most importantly, every purchase makes a difference. Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase diapers for local women’s shelters and food shelves, sponsor local families for the holidays, and support the ongoing mission of the church.
