The new water tower just south of the Park and Ride off West Point Douglas South had its new logo painted recently. The first concrete-based water tower in Cottage Grove
history, the tower built by Landmark Structures measures 125.76 feet to the top of the bowl and 129 feet to the top of the roof rail, with a bowl circumference of 230.1 feet and
bowl diameter of 73.24 feet. The tower base meanwhile has a circumference of 122.26 feet and diameter of 38.92 feet. The $5.183 million tower project is being paid for with a
combination of the city’s water utility and water area fund, soon to be complete just off the south business park in Cottage Grove.
