Join Washington County Parks for Jail on a Hill, a fascinating presentation at the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater led by Jack Nilsen, Parks Coordinator – Historic Sites.
On Aug. 29 from 1-2:30 p.m., attendees will discover the history of the jail through an in-depth look at crime, inmate life, and daring escape attempts. Guests will enjoy a guided tour of all three cell blocks and the Sheriff’s Residence, along with a special hands-on artifacts session where you can explore and interact with historic items up close.
Ice cream and soda will be provided as you experience this unique journey into the past. Tickets for Jail on a Hill cost $15 per person and are available for all ages. To purchase tickets, visit WashingtonCountyMN.gov/ParksPrograms.
The Washington County Historic Courthouse is at 101 W. Pine St. in Stillwater.
