Courthouse by Candelelight October 15 7:00pm-9:30 pm Location: Historic Courthouse Are you afraid of the dark? Join us for a unique experience as we walk the halls of the Historic Courthouse at night by candlelight. Explore the areas typically closed to the public, including the basement, sheriff’s residence and the old 1900’s county jail. Learn the history behind this historic site and listen to some fun, slightly spooky stories along the way. Three separate tour times will be offered: 7:00 p.m., 7:45 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. Tours are recommended for ages 12 and older.

Courthouse by Candelelight October 22 7:00 pm- 9:30 pm Location: Historic Courthouse Bird Hike at Big Marine Park Reserve October 24 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM Location: Big Marine Park Reserve Take part in a guided bird hike at Washington County Parks and join the ranks of the 47 million birders in the United States. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced birder, these hikes are a great way to get outdoors, listen to the sounds of nature, and learn to identify the birds that call the St. Croix Valley home. Remember to dress for the weather. We recommend bringing your binoculars and a water bottle. Other recommended items include sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, hiking or tennis shoes, bug spray and snacks. For all ages; children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All bird hikes occur 9 – 10:30 a.m. Space is limited and reservations are required.
