“We’re here to celebrate the ribbon cutting and elder prayer of Vangz Kitchen,” Bailey said. “So very excited here. I’m excited to welcome Vangz to the city and the owners David and My Nhia Vang. I am told that from a young age David was taught the value of hard work and persistence to reach one’s goals. And as his children grew older he has aspired to help find them ways to see that dreams remain attainable at any stage of life. This restaurant is a result of his deep love of cooking, entertaining, and meeting new people. It is also a reflection of his passion for connecting with and understanding his community, which has profoundly shaped his journey.”

So congratulations, we’re excited to have you.”

“David has been dreaming of this for a real long time,” she said. “And I’m very excited and happy for this, opening this restaurant for him and making his dream come true. I want to thank everyone coming out here on your Saturday afternoon to spend this grand opening with us, and we really truly appreciate it. I want to thank our family, the last couple months. From day one the restaurant opened you’ve been here and I’m so excited and happy. We love the love and support you put with us. We really truly appreciate that, and many more to come.”
