The new Washington County Central Service and License Center is now open at 1261 Woodlane Drive, in Woodbury.
Constructed with resident accessibility in mind and opened August 26, the new Central Service and License Center is located on the eastern terminus of the Metro Transit Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit line and across from the Woodlane Drive station Park and Ride.
Services provided include licensing services, human services (including crisis intervention, financial support, and veterans services), Careerforce workforce development services, a public health clinic and WIC services, household medication dropbox, election services, and property taxes and homesteading.
The building will include a rooftop solar array and electric vehicle chargers in the parking lot.
"Sustainability was a key focus of the Central Service and License Center construction," District 5 County Commissioner Michelle Clasen said. " This energy efficient facility will serve as a model for future county buildings to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining the high level of service we are known for."
