Are you wondering when you’re going to be vaccinated for COVID-19?
With footage over the weekend of semis rolling out from Michigan to all points in America, some of us are destined to receive the vaccine. Health care workers obviously will be first, but what about you?
Washington County is preparing for when they’ll be able to start vaccinating. Following those healthcare workers, will be emergency personnel and the elderly, as well as people with medical conditions.
So where do you stand? The New York Times, along with the Surgo Foundation and Ariadne Labs put together an interactive tool located on the New York Times website that estimates the wait in line for Americans.
So, we ran some scenarios.
In Washington County, if you’re 70 years old with no specific COVID-19-related risks, here’s what your wait looks like: “You’re in line behind 118.5 million people across the United States.
When it comes to Minnesota, we think you’re behind 1.9 million others who are at higher risk in your state.
And in Washington County, you’re behind 77,200 others.
If you’re 80 and living in a long-term care facility and have COVID risks, here’s what the calculator revealed.

How about a 40-year-old teacher?
“You’re behind 2.2 million others who are at higher risk in your state.
And in Washington County, you’re behind 89,100 others.”
What about a 35-year-old non-essential worker?
“You’re in line behind 268.7 million people across the United States.
When it comes to Minnesota, we think you’re behind 4.5 million others who are at higher risk in your state.
And in Washington County, you’re behind 190,900 others.”
