Park’s boys team, which has struggled mightily this season to score goals, has suddenly found its offense.
After a 4-2 win at Mounds View Thursday, the Wolfpack exploded for eight goals in an 8-1 win Saturday over visiting Hastings.
The Wolfpack had scored just six goals in 11 games coming into this week’s sweep.
“Yeah, our last two games … we have finally started to play quicker and finish our chances off finally and that has resulted in us getting two wins in a row,” said Park head coach Andrew Bourgoine. “Thursday at Mounds View we beat them 4-2 and then today we won 8-1.
“The team is finally coming together and really gelling in the offensive end and playing very unselfish soccer and it’s resulting in a lot of goals,” Bourgoine added.
Chance Vang and Jared Cumbe each scored a hat trick for the Wolfpack on Saturday. Sacid Mohamed and Blake Scholl got the other two Park goals.
Joseph Hohenstein had two assists to lead the Wolfpack. Kroix Pearson, Vang, Tyson Jenkins and Keanu Lee each added an assist.
