Park’s Mitchell LeMay and Mason Darling each won two individual races and paced two relay team victories as the Wolfpack swam past Woodbury 9885 Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Cottage Grove Middle School.

LeMay finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.18) and then again in the 100-yard butterfly (53.28).= Darling took first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.09 and won the 100yard freestyle in 51.79.

Park won the 200-yard medley relay with the team of Parker Jeseritz, Mason Darling, LeMay and Jack Schweigert in 1:46.97. The Wolfpack also won the meet’s final event with the foursome of Jeseritz, Logan Schweigert, Darling and LeMay finishing first in 3:32.29.

Jeseritz won the 100yard backstroke in 59.73 and finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:18.48.

Jack Schweigert finished first in the 200-yard IM in 2:15.93.

Park also swept the diving, led by Ethan Schilling’s 151.20 score. Carter Darling scored a 142.80 and Trey Jaso a 127.15.

“We had a key swimmer out because of sickness, so it was awesome to see us handle not having that person and being able to move kids around as needed for the races to cover is a good sign,” said Park head coach Amanda Johnson. “I’m excited to see how the divers dove last night (it was my first chance to watch them) and excited to see them step up and try some harder events.”

Logan Schweigert was third in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:05.90 and third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:05.44. Damion Charpentier was second in the 200-yard IM (2:25.51) and second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.22. Jack Schweigert was third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.39. Park was third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the quartet of Logan Schweigert, Zack Crook, Charpentier and Jack Schweigert finishing in 1:47.51.

“I know my boys love to compete against Woodbury and I love to see how the two teams interact,” Johnson added. “They are close even though they are competitors of ours. My boys did what they needed to do and got the firsts (and filled in) for the races. I’m excited to see how much faster we will become as the year goes on.
