Wolfpack tennis goes 2-0 on the week

Park had a solid week in Suburban East Conference tennis, dispatching visiting Irondale 6-1 on Tuesday, then winning 5-2 at Woodbury on Thursday.

The Wolfpack won three of four singles and two of three doubles against the Royals Thursday. Winning for Park were Ethan Cole at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-2), Dylan Conn at No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-0) and Tyler McKeague at No. 3 singles (6-2, 3-6, 6-2).

Park’s No. 2 doubles team of Liam Shannon/Zach Wood (3-6, 6-3. 6-2) and No. 3 doubles team of Lucas Kulenkamp/Shane Pnewski (6-3, 6-4) also won at Woodbury.

Park went 6 for 7 against Irondale, winning all but at No. 1 singles. Earning wins for the Wolfpack were at Conn at No. 2 singles (4-6. 6-0, 12-0), McKeague at No. 3 singles (1-6, 6-0, 6-0), Zach Norgaard at No. 4 singles (6-4, 7-5), Colin Winkler/Cam Picasso at No.1 doubles (6-3, 6-1), Wood/Shannon at No. 2 doubles (6-0, 6-1) and Pnewski/Kulenkamp at No. 3 doubles (6-2, 6-2).

Park plays at Roseville Thursday, hosts an invitational Saturday against Highland Park and Two Rivers starting at 8:30 a.m. and plays Burnsville at Cottage Grove on Monday afternoon.

Park girls fourth at Highland National

Park finished fourth overall at Highland National Golf Course in St. Paul in Suburban East Conference girls golf Monday afternoon.

Seniors Olivia Korpi and Alaina Rislove both shot 46s to lead the Wolfpack. Senior Ellie Gieser carded a 47 in her first varsity match and a career low. Seniors Elizabeth Chilton and Elsie Corrigan both finished with 49s.

On Wednesday, April 15, the Wolfpack finished 8/9 in 18 holes at River Oaks Golf Course.

Korpi had the low score for Park with a 93. Eighth grader Lia Thachkenson had a 98, junior Gabby Stepka a 99 and Chilton a 102.

Park plays at Forest Lake Tuesday, Prestwick on Thursday and at Lake City Friday.

Koch leads Park golf team at Stillwater

Sophomore Riley Koch shot a 76 and finished fifth overall to lead the Park boys golf team to a fourth-place finish at Stillwater Country Club Monday.

Cam Young and Cam Duncan carded 80s for Park. Wyatt Tuman had an 82, Dylan Greifzu an 83 and Truman Thompson an 84.

Senior captain Wyatt Tuman led Park with a 75 in a match Tuesday, April 14 at River Oaks Golf Course.

Park was fifth in the team race. Cam Young shot a 79, Riley Koch and Justin Bonin shot 81s, Dylan Greifzu an 82 and Ben Jensen carded an 83.
