Park lost its third straight contest in girls ice hockey Saturday afternoon, falling to Hastings 3-0 at Scheels Rink.

It was also the third straight time the Wolfpack had failed to score in a game. Park outshot the hosts 31-30.

The loss drops the Wolfpack to 5-7 on the season. Park is 2-5 in the Suburban East Conference and in eighth place. Hastings improved its record to 5-6.

White Bear Lake 4, Park 0

Park’s Wolfpack played better than they did against Cretin-Derham Hall, said head coach Bay Shock, but the results were nearly the same, a shutout loss.

Park dropped a 4-0 decision to White Bear Lake on Tuesday, Dec. 19, the loss coming on the heels of a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Cretin-Derham Hall the previous week.

“Much better than the last one,” said Shock. “The last one was Cretin we were not good and I thought the compete was much better today. We’ve just got to figure out how to score a goal.

“We talked about it after the second, I think that it will just change the completion of how you feel,” Shock continued. “You finally tip one in or poke one in, oh boy we can score. But I thought we played OK. They’re a good team. They’re one of the upper teams in our conference. SO, not bad, we’ve just got to score a goal.”

Park slipped to 2-5 in the Suburban East Conference while White Bear Lake went to 4-3-1.

The Wolfpack just had trouble generating any offense and were outshot 33-24.

Park takes on St. Paul/Two Rivers (5-4-1) Thursday, Dec. 28, in the New Hope Arena Holiday Tournament, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the South rink.
