"Gliding through the Seasons"

Cottage Grove Figure Skating’s annual show, this season called “Gliding Through the Seasons,” ran May 18 at the Cottage Grove Ice Arena.
The show is put on by the Cottage Grove Ice Arena and Cottage Grove Figure Skating Booster Club. Liatra Adsitt put the show on along with the help of several coaches.
Some 40 skaters performed, including performance teams, members from Cottage Grove's Skate School, District 833 high school team, parents of the skaters and a guest skater from White Bear Lake.
CGFS has three performance teams:
n Rain and Sunshine production team performed at multiple local competitions including 2024 ISI Synchronized Championships at Doug Woog Ice Arena in April and received third place. The team has 15 skaters that range from age 5-16. Members include Isabella Ramirez-Burciaga, Catherine Capps, Addilyn Yang, Kylie Davis, Eleanor Ewald, Lexi Ewald, Aidan Mule, Kiki O'Malley, Lillian Wilson-Lee, Brynn Prokop, Hailiana Shrack, Katherine Oakley, Alyssa Carey and Harper Gillesby.
n Fire and Ice Ensemble performed at multiple local competitions including 2024 ISI Synchronized Championships at Doug Woog Ice Arena in April and received second place. Skaters on this team are Catherine Capps, Addilyn Yang, Eleanor Ewald, Katherine Oakley and Alyssa Carey.
n When I Grow Up Ensemble performed at multiple local competitions including 2024 ISI Synchronized Championships at Doug Woog Ice Arena in April and received first place. Skaters on this team are Tessa Johnson, Lexi Ewald, Harper Gillesby and Hailiana Shrack.
Learn to skate lessons start June 17 and there are still openings. Registration is on the CG Ice Arena website.
