Looking for a fun outdoor event for the kids’ winter break? Washington County Parks is offering a one day “Chill Out Winter Camp” from 1- 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, for kids ages 7-10 years old at Lake Elmo Park Reserve.
This camp is the perfect blend of winter outdoor adventures, along with indoor activities that celebrate the season. Activities planned for the camp are snowshoeing and/or kick sleds, fire-building, animal tracking, indoor crafts and games, hot chocolate and s’mores, and more.
All outdoor activities are weather dependent. Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure a spot. The fee is $35 per participant. To register, or for more information, go to co.washington.mn.us. Registration is open until Dec. 22. You will receive a registration packet via e-mail that will need to be completed and returned prior to the program.
