Ryan S. Pederson, 21, Prescott, was charged in Dakota County District Court May 26 with felony fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.
On May 24, a Minnesota State Patrol conducting traffice enforcement observed a motorcycle pass him traveling 109 mph on eastbound interestate highway 494. According to the complaint, the trooper activated his lights and siren and then observed the motorcycle accelerate to speeds between 120-130 mph while weaving in and out of traffic. Other vehicles were pulling over due to the squad lights and sirens, but the motorcycle continued, despite the rider looking over his shoulder multiple times when changing lanes.
The motorcyclist, Pederson, eventually pulled over and was placed under arrest. Pederson was booked into the Dakota County jail.
