Featured Events Caring for the Caregiver Monday, October 3 from 6 to 7:15 P.M. Join author Stuart Pimsler for this healing workshop for caregivers. Through movement and storytelling, participants will give creative expression to their stories and connect with others. Registration is required. Let’s Make Stuff: Mini Spooky Gnome Home Wednesday, October 12 from 6 to 7:30 P.M.

Audience members will learn the history and cultural context of taiko drumming and participate in interactive activities. Children, adults, and families are all welcome! Take and Make: All About Carrots with HealthPartners Saturday, October 22 Celebrate all things carrots! Pick up a kit from the library and complete the activities at home. Each kit contains a Health Partners PowerUp Family magazine, carrot pen, recipe cards, and materials for a craft. Recommended for ages 4-8. Registration is not required. Teen Craft: Altered Books with Artistry Saturday, October 22 Learn how to repurpose old books and turn them into new works of art. Explore techniques like black-out poetry, paper folding, paper cutting, painting, drawing, and more. We will supply books or feel free to bring your own. For ages 12-17. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.

Food Waste Reduction and Recycling Wednesday, October 26 from 6 to 7 P.M.

If you find yourself cleaning out your fridge often and throwing food away, this talk will help you reduce food waste and save money. We will also learn about local options for food recycling.
