The Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce held its 19th Annual Community Showcase on Saturday at Park High School. The activities center was packed with people learning what local businesses and organizations have to offer. It was a great opportunity for networking and learning, and the Cottage Grove Chamber puts on the best community expo around. There was plenty of entertainment, from Nick Hyde providing incredible background music throughout the day, to informational seminar breaks with the Carpenter Nature Center, 3M Science Wizards and the Park High 3883 Data Bits Team taking the stage. A highlight that left smiles on everyone’s faces was the mascot dance competition in the afternoon. Then, attendees got to see Cottage Grove Public Safety K-9 Odin up close and in action with Officer Matt Sorgaard. There were plenty of prizes and giveaways.
