Visiting White Bear Lake edged the Park swimmers and diving in the season’s first dual meet, winning Thursday, 95-86. White Bera Lake used relay strength and depth to overcome the hosts.
Park’s Amber Norgaard won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.28 and was second in the 100 freestyle in 56.56.
Alayna Faletti finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.20 and was second in the 100 backstroke in 1:10.86.
Afton LeMay won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:15.69 and was second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:10.80.
Sarah Weston of the Wolfpack easily won the 1-meter diving with a score of 159.40, some 21 points ahead of her nearest competitor.
Ellie Imdieke placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:04.25.
Park was a close second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the team of Faletti, Ella Langness, Danika Rowan and Amber Norgaard finishing in 1:50.49. The 200-yard medley relay team was also second in a time of 2:11.66 with the quarter of Afton LeMay, Langness, Eraya Nybakken and Rowan swimming for Park.
Park got a first in the finishing 400-yard freestyle relay with the foursome of Faletti, Imdieke, LeMay and Amber Norgaard, who clocked a 4:08.20 race.
Park competes at Irondale on Thursday, Sept. 7, then swims in a nine-team invitational meet Saturday, Sept. 9, at John Glenn Junior High School in Maplewood.
